Recently, when the author participated in the household investigation of epidemic prevention and control, he found that some returnees from key areas were taking self isolation measures at home according to the needs of epidemic prevention and control. However, the daily garbage of these personnel has not been collected and isolated separately, which has become a high risk point for epidemic prevention and control. At the same time, during the epidemic, a large part of residents' shopping comes from express delivery. The discarded packaging is mixed with other domestic garbage. It is often found that someone searches for recyclables in the garbage can, which has a high risk of infection.        

    The author thinks that it is one of the important guarantees to win the prevention and control of the epidemic to do a good job in the disposal of the domestic garbage of the isolation personnel at home. During the epidemic period, the disposal of domestic waste for the home quarantine personnel must be paid great attention to. We should resolutely prevent secondary infection, effectively block the transmission channels of the epidemic, and ensure the health and life safety of the masses.            Faced with the prevention and control of the new coronavirus epidemic situation, there is a risk of infection and transmission of domestic waste in the home quarantine personnel, so strengthening management is imminent. In the face of the new situation and problems, we need to deal with them urgently. It is suggested to issue "Interim Regulations on the collection and treatment of domestic garbage for the household isolation personnel" to realize the separate collection, transportation and disposal of domestic garbage for the household isolation personnel. Timely help to solve the difficulties in the disposal process, ensure the measures are in place, realize harmless treatment and eliminate possible risks.    

        In the current situation of epidemic prevention and control, it is not only a protection for the people in key areas, but also a social responsibility and contribution to the society. Relevant government departments, especially community workers, should take the initiative to do a good job in service. Guide them to recognize the possible infection risks caused by littering domestic garbage, and ask them to collect their own domestic garbage separately and cooperate with the centralized disposal.        

    The author suggests that during the epidemic period, we should strengthen the control of domestic waste, and implement the responsibility system. It is strictly prohibited for the garbage collectors to enter the community. The centralized storage site of domestic garbage shall be disinfected regularly to keep it clean and tidy. The community shall be equipped with a special centralized recycling box for masks, a recycling box for domestic isolation personnel, and an eye-catching sign. Special bags and buckets shall be provided for the isolation personnel at home, and special personnel shall be assigned to take charge of the collection, transportation and disposal of the isolation personnel's domestic waste at home, so as to realize the closed-loop management of collection, transportation and disposal. It is necessary to minimize the possible risk of infection, ensure that the domestic garbage of home quarantine personnel can be prevented and controlled, and the disposal measures are safe, standardized and fast.
